Upon arrival, guests are offered an appetizer and glass of wine while they mingle during registration. A welcome and introduction from Soup Sisters Founder, Sharon Hapton will provide an overview of the Soup Sisters organization and the local emergency shelters that your company will support that day. The Chef will be introduced and provide advice on soup-making as well as some general housekeeping information.

Chefs and Soup Sisters volunteers guide everyone to the chopping stations and the soup-making begins! Teams of 8 share chopping tables while they work in prepping ingredients for their soup recipes. As soup pots are moved to the kitchen for final cooking, participants will handwrite ingredient labels for soup containers going to the shelter. This personal touch provides an opportunity to send a special message from your company team members. While soups cook, participants proceed to dine with their chopping station colleagues until soups are ready for ladling into individual containers. As guests depart, we ensure the soup is properly cooled and stored for morning delivery.

  • Set up/tear down of chopping tables for teams of 8 persons

  • Professional culinary tools (Stainless steel chopping tables, station burners, chopping boards, chef knives, pots, etc.)
  • Soup Sisters tried and true recipes for each station
  • Quality, fresh ingredients for the soups being made
  • Liaise with shelter recipients
  • Ongoing liaison & logistics in Big Stir execution with your team & Soup Sisters event team managers
  • Pre-event planning with venue site chefs and event staff. Onsite event management, post event soup distribution follow up
  • Soup Sisters branded chef apron for each participant to keep
  • 1 litre soup containers for recipient shelter distribution
  • Ingredient labels for participants to complete during soup-making
  • Onsite guest registration/name tags (required)
  • Chef prepared appetizer and 2 glasses of wine per guest
  • Sit down dinner consisting of salad, soup & fresh bread for guests. * Option to purchase additional food & beverage directly through partner venue food services
  • All washing of equipment and final cleanup by Soup Sisters volunteers and venue staff
