Winnipeg Soup Sisters

The soup's on on Winnipeg! On March 10, 2013, Soup Sisters launched in support of the women and children at Willow Place. Nearly 300 servings of delicious soup was delivered the very next morning.

Willow Place empowers women and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse by providing them with a safe and supportive environment through residential and non-residential programs and services.

The Winnipeg Fairmont Hotel brings their community minded spirit and enthusiasm to Soup Sisters events to ensure that every bowl is delivered with a hug. Soup Sisters is thrilled to partner with the Fairmont Hotel for our soup-making events in their fantastic commercial kitchen.

Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers charges a participation fee of $60 per person to cover the expenses of ingredients for soup, the venue, equipment, a chef or professional facilitator, and charitable operations. Events are social evenings with lively conversation, chopping, laughter and warm kitchen camaraderie that culminate in a simple, sit-down supper of soup, salad, bread and wine for all participants. Each event produces approximately 150-250 servings of fresh soup that sustains your local shelter with nourishing and nurturing soup each month.

Private corporate team-building events are $95 per person and a partial tax receipt is provided upon request.
